We sell no course, and we do not license anyone

MLO License Prep does not sell pre-licensure education or continuing education, and it cannot license anyone. State licensing is granted by your state regulator through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS), and required education must be taken from an NMLS-approved provider. We are an independent, neutral resource that explains the process and, where useful and disclosed, points you to approved providers. We are not one of them.

Accuracy and dated facts

The federal education requirements and passing score on this site are verified against the SAFE Act in the United States Code. Fees, whether set by NMLS or a state regulator, change, so rather than host a figure we cannot maintain we link each to its official source. Treat every figure here as a starting point and confirm it at its official source before you rely on it. Per-state values such as surety-bond amounts, state fees, and any extra education hours are referenced from the published state fee matrix and the official state page rather than hosted here as our own maintained numbers, so confirm current requirements at the official source before you rely on them.

Not affiliated with any body or credential

MLO License Prep is an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or administered by the NMLS (Nationwide Multistate Licensing System), the Conference of State Bank Supervisors, or any government agency. Names of laws, systems, and tests appear only for accuracy and never imply a partnership.

Intellectual property

The text, guides, explanations, calculators, ordered licensing-step sequences, and graphics on this site are original works created by MLO License Prep and Urban Algorithm LLC. Fees, education-hour requirements, exam structure, and content-area labels are facts and not copyrightable; our compilation, wording, and any practice questions are authored from scratch from the public SAFE Act, the NMLS materials, and the public test content outline, never lifted from official test items or a competitor's course. You may read, link to, and share our pages for personal use. You may not copy, scrape, republish, or resell our content without written permission. Illustrations are original or AI-generated artwork; we use no licensed stock photography.
